Why our short block? Probably the first question you ask yourself when landing on this webpage. You don't see Blue Collar Performance on forums, so how do you know what you are getting? We can give you referrals and show you the proof in our abilities. Our business is word of mouth, no print ads. We rely on our honesty and integrity to provide us with the steady workflow we are so fortunate to have.
We were one of the first shops to crack open a new "Coyote" engine early in 2011 and rebuild it for a professional, televised, racing series. After examining the strengths and weaknesses of the new engine we feel we have put various packages together that are capable of filling everyone's needs.
Now don't fall for the "proprietary" connecting rods and pistons that are advertised some places. Fact is, Manley is one of the best! And if you buy enough rods, you can have your name on them too. And once they are in the engine, you better hope no one EVER gets a chance to read them again.
Something to look for when shopping: If the price to update from standard Manley Rods to ARP2000 rod bolts is under $100, well then the rods are having their bolts switched out before assembly, NOT MACHINED with the ARP2000 bolts installed at Manley. Why is this bad? Because it changes the shape of the big end of the rod with the higher torque spec from the ARP2000 bolts.
