Who We Are?

A modest family business based out of Michigan. Namely the Metro Detroit area, once known as the Motor City. Our business is run off the simple belief that the desire and dream to still have a car that you can personalize and enjoy shouldn't be out of reach due to costs.

The phrase "If We Can't Fix It, Then It's Broke!", originated from Ron's then 6 year old daughter when he would fix her toys that would sometimes brake after a day of play. She said, "If Daddy can't fix it, then it's broke"...and it stuck.

Our family has been involved in automobiles, racing and engine building for 3 generations. The many years of combined knowledge allows us to know what works and what doesn't, and how not to waste money on items you don't need.

If you are in need of QUALITY AFFORDABLE repairs, installations or parts....Give us a call or send a message.

Owner / Founder Ron Willim is a 3rd generation, Blue Collar father of 3. He knows all about trying to have fun with a street rod or race on a shoestring budget. Not to mention just keeping your back & forth to work car running.

Owner / Founder Ron Willim
Age:2, Tuning Up a V8-60 Midget

Ron has been an ASE Certified Master Technician for 20 yrs, and a State of Michigan Certified Technician for 20+ yrs.

After spending 10 years at a Ford Dealer, Ron moved into Powertrain Development, running engine and chassis dynomometers at various facilities for 13 years. The depth of the testing was far beyond the average speed shop. Most of the Test Cells were $1 Million rooms with 40+ channels of data and one of a kind engines 5-7 years before their targeted production. Some work was also performed for Professional Race Teams while at the dyno technician jobs, both building, and testing engines worth six figures. Ron has also performed vehicle instrumentation work on Ford and GM vehicles for testing.

All this combined experience allows Blue Collar Performance to perform work in a more professional manner than people are accustom to, with most of the performance work performed looking as though it came from the factory, as well as solve problems in ways many other shops have never seen.

In the 2008 NMRA Drag Racing Season, Ron finished in the Top 10 in the JDM Engineering Super Stang class. He Qualified 1st at the first Super Stang event held at Milan Dragway. This was also the first time to the track with the car since the Supercharger install.

For the last race of the season, the World Finals in Bowling Green, KY, the Supercharged 2006 Mustang, towed a trailer 500 miles, raced and drove back home averaging 22 mpg. You won't see us with a 26ft Enclosed trailer and a $50,000 tow vehicle just to show up and sell parts.

We do not SELL PARTS to finance RACING!
We Race to Sell You Quality Parts!

We have many years of combined racing and traveling experience, and collecting failed parts (and testing failed theories) allows us to help prevent people from wasting their hard earned money.

If we are unable to help you directly, chances are we know of a place we trust and will recommend to solve your problems. We only recommend places that we would allow to work on our own stuff.

What do we do?

Just about anything engine or automotive related. From 1923 to present cars, trucks....and anything else with an internal combustion engine. We do the work other companies don't have the patience to do, or maybe not enough experience with your particular problem .

We have the ability to repair rare parts that need to be welded, custom parts machined and everything in-between.

All makes and models.

Why Buy From Us?

You WILL NOT find a bunch of performance or suspension parts listed with Blue Collar Performance just because internet forums recommend them or they are spoken about the most in magazines. We only sell products from reputable companies with the same ideals we have. And if possible, we only sell AMERICAN MADE products. Sure we may have Canadian or European parts, like brakes, Japanese parts like NGK plugs, but that just happens to be where they came from.

More than one company out there has secumb to greed and started outsourcing Lower Control Arms and Chassis parts to CHINA!

Do you want Chinese parts on your American Muscle Car? Or your Tuner Car? Do you trust them to hold together in the final round of a Drag Race or the final lap of an Open Track event?

Worse part of all is these parts still come with a High Price tag?

With dress up parts, there is about a 50% chance they are imported. But you don't rely on them to win a race, or get you to work.

We may not always be the CHEAPEST, but I personally promise we WILL have the BEST service AFTER the sale! If you want to purchase something elsewhere to save $20, have at it. But when they can't support what they sell...GOOD LUCK!
